On the Eight of July 2025, Ally Van Tillo, founder of the Names project UK or the UK AIDS Memorial Quilt amongst many other incredible things, was interviewed by the BBC.

This came about in the lead up to the UK AIDS Memorial quilt's 'return' to Scotland, (its original home with Ally and Ian Van Tillo was Leith) via an exhibition at Tramway Gallery, Glasgow in September. 

I was at home with Ally that day and quietly recorded the full conversation.

The video interview that came out of this was greatly truncated, large gaps of Ally's voice removed.

This may be the nature of documentary, of interview, but I cannot get past these voids where what was said, has been.

 Hearing Ally's voice in its fullness, a man whom I love. Is invaluable. His sounds are what should fill those gaps.
